Timemore Chestnut ESP – Hand Grinder for Espresso and Filter Coffee

The Timemore Chestnut ESP is a premium hand grinder designed to elevate your home coffee brewing experience. Building on the brand’s popular models, this upgraded version features 42 mm stainless steel conical burrs and a redesigned construction that makes it perfect for both espresso and filter brewing.

Its full-metal body ensures durability and a solid, premium feel. The central shaft is supported by dual bearings, guaranteeing smooth and consistent grinding. The precisely cut S2C E&B (Espresso & Brew) burrs allow for fine adjustments across the entire grind range – from ultra-fine espresso to coarse French press.

The improved ergonomic handle and textured body make grinding more comfortable and require less physical effort. With a hopper capacity of 35–40 g, it’s ideal for preparing multiple servings in one go.

Key Features:

  • 42 mm stainless steel conical burrs – precise and consistent grind

  • Wide grind range – from espresso to pour-over and French press

  • Dual-bearing central shaft – stable and smooth operation

  • Redesigned ergonomic handle – effortless grinding

  • Textured grip – secure and comfortable hold

  • Hopper capacity 35–40 g – perfect for single or multiple cups

Grind Setting Tips:

  • Espresso: Fine grind (lower third of settings) – aim for a 25–30 second extraction.

  • Moka Pot: Slightly coarser than espresso to avoid over-extraction.

  • Pour-over (V60, Chemex): Medium grind – target brew time of 2:30–3:30 minutes.

  • French Press: Coarse grind to prevent over-extraction during long steeping.

Care & Maintenance:

  • After each use, tap out any remaining grounds from the hopper and catcher.

  • Every 1–2 weeks, disassemble and clean with a brush (avoid using water).

  • Regular maintenance keeps burrs sharp and coffee flavors consistent.
