Ethiopia Bette Buna Decaf
Flavor Profile

Origin
The only decaf in the calendar, but a very interesting one! We truly believe that today’s decaffeinated coffees are worth exploring, and this is a great example. Ethiopia Guji Meguda Bette Buna Decaf is a decaffeinated Arabica from the highly regarded Guji region in Ethiopia, specifically from the Bette Buna farm in the Meguda area. Guji is one of Ethiopia’s most respected coffee-growing regions, with long-standing traditions, where rich soils, high-altitude terrain, and biodiversity create ideal conditions for exceptional flavor profiles. The Bette Buna farm, established in 2020, focuses not only on cup quality but also on ethical and sustainable collaboration with the local community, including fair wages, support for education, and improved living conditions for workers. Coffees from this area are typically known for their complex fruitiness and delicate acidity, and when decaffeinated using the EA (ethyl acetate) process, they retain the vibrant aromas and character of the original beans with minimal impact on flavor—while remaining caffeine-free.
